| Touring on the Salar de Uyuni and South Lipez Desert The Bolivia Uyuni Salt Desert (known in Bolivia as El Salar de Uyuni) is one of the spectaculars landscapes in the world. A magnificent area with an impressive Salt Desert, landscapes and high steep volcanos. Our 15 day overland tour will take you to enjoy the view of a dramatic landscape with an amazing and impressive flora and fauna. Our tour will also take us to visit the beautiful colonial cities of Potosi and Sucre . Our Bolivia Uyuni Salt Desert (Salar de Uyuni) Tour Program: Day 1: From the city of La Paz by bus travel to Oruro and from here by train ride to Uyuni, a small city located on the edge of the Salar de Uyuni. Arrival and transfer to your hotel. Day 2: From Uyuni we start our tour visiting first Colchani town and then entering into the impressive salt desert we will go for a hike on the "Fish Island". Later on drive to the base of the "Incahuasi Island" where we do a short hike. Our tour will also take us for a visit to the Galaxy Cave and then overnight in San Juan Village. Day 3: From San Juan drive towards Laguna Colorada where we can observe pink flamingoes. On the way on observe the extrange rock formations known as the Rock Ladies. Basic Lodge accommodations. Day 4: Early morning visit to the fumaroles and geisers of the place known as Sol de Maņana. Later on we drive towards Laguna Verde where we enjoy great views of Volcan Licancahur. Then we continue our drive north towards the small town of Mallku Villamar. Overnight in a basic lodge. Day 5: From Mallku we drive to the place known as the Rock Forest, an impressive geological formation. Then we continue towards the city of Uyuni. Hotel accommodations. Day 6: After breakfast from Uyuni transport to the city of Potosi. Afternoon visit to this interesting colonial mining town. Hotel accommodations. Day 7: Morning visit to the famous mines of Potosi and in the afternoon transport to Sucre, a beautiful colonial city located in a warm valley at 2800m. Hotel. Day 8: Morning city tour and in the afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight back to La Paz. End of our services. Included: all transfers, transportation with 4x4 vehicles, profesional local guide, meals while on the tour, hotels and basic lodges accommodations (hotel upgrades upon on request and at an extra cost). |
