| Trekking the Salar de Uyuni and South Lipez Desert in Bolivia The Bolivia Salar de Uyuni is perhaps one of the most spectacular landscapes in the world. A magnificent area with an impressive Salt Desert and high steep volcanos. Our 15 day trekking tour will take you to enjoy the view of a dramatic landscape and also climb three volcanoes. Finally we will end our tour visiting the beautiful cities of Potosi and Sucre . Our Bolivia Salar de Uyuni Trekking tour: Day 1: Arrival in La Paz airport. Transfer to your hotel. Day 2: In La Paz. Visit the city, the "witches" market and later on a short trek on the impressive Moon valley. Day 3: Long journey towards Jirira town at the foothills of Thunupa volcano, on the shores of the vast Salar de uyuni. Camp or hut accommodations. Day 4: Day to climb Thunupa volcano. Camp. Day 5: This day we will drive towards "Lomo de Pescado" island. 3 hours trek on the Salar de Uyuni. Drive to San Juan Village. Basic accommodations. Day 6: From San Juan drive towards Laguna Colorada where we can observe pink flamingoes. On the way on observe the extrange rock formations known as the "Rock Ladies". Camp or hut accommodations. Day 7: Morning visit to the fumaroles and geisers of the place known as "Sol de Maņana". Drive towards Laguna Verde. Day 8: Climb Licancahur Volcano (5868 m). Camp. Day 9: drive towards Quetena Chico. Camp on the base of Uturuncu Volcano. Day 10: Climb Uturuncu Volcano (6,000 m). this adventure will take us about 5-6hours then we will head towards Mallku, a place with clifs where ancient cultures were located. Visit to the tombs (chullpares). Camp. Day 11: Transport from Mallku towards Uyuni. Hotel accommodations. Day 12: After breakfast transport to the city of Potosi. Afternoon visit to this interesting mining town. Hotel accommodations. Day 13: Transport to the city of Sucre, a beautiful colonial city located in a calid valley. Afternoon city tour. Hotel accommodations. Day 14: Flight back to La Paz. Hotel. Day 15: Transfer out. Included: all transfers, private transportation, communal climbing gear, profesional guide, complete camping equipment, cook, helpers, meals while on the tour, hotel accommodations. |
