| Peru Offers great opportunities for short rafting tours. Andes Adventures offers 1, 2 or 3 day tours in the beautiful rivers of the Cusco area: Urubamba river, Vilcanota River and Apurimac river are great sceneries to practice this exciting sport. 1 DAY TOURS: Huambutio. from Cusco a 40 minutes - 1 hour drive will take us to the small village of Huanbutio on the shores of Vilcanota River. Enjoy a 2 hours rafting tour. Season: April to December: Rapids class I and II January to March: Rapids class III Ollaytantambo: Starting from Cusco a 2 hours drive will take us to the Incas Sacred Valley. Our tour will start at the place known as Puente Pachar. a 2 hours rafting will end in the place known as Huayracpuncu. After lunch return to Cusco. Season: April to December: Rapids class I, II and III January to March: Rapids class IV and IV + (experience requiered). Quiquijana: a 2 hours drive will take us from Cusco to Quiquijana village. 2 hours rafting in Vilcanota River. lunch and return to Cusco. Season: April to December: Rapids class II and III January to March: Rapids class II, III and IV (previous experience requiered). 2 DAY TOURS: Huambutio - Ollantaytambo: trip combining the area of Huambutio (Vilcanota River) and 2 sections of Urubamba river (Ollantaytambo and Huaran). Overnight camping in Urubamba. Rapids class: II, II+ and III. Huambutio - Quiquijana: 2 day tour on Vilcanota river with rapids class: II, II+, III, IV and IV+. Experience requiered. Overnight in a nice hacienda in Chacacupe. |
