The Machu Picchu Inca Trail is without doubt one of the most spectacular trekkings in South America. This Andes Adventures tour starting from the Royal Inca City of Cusco in Peru, takes you along breathtaking highland sceneries of the Peruvian Andes to finally arrive into the fascinating Lost City of the Incas: Machu Picchu.

Our 4 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu:
Day 1: Cusco - Wuayllabamba: From Cusco drive to the town of Chillca (km 82) where our porters are ready to help us to carry the heavy equipment along the entire trip. Walking in the shadow of mount Verona (5680m) we trek the first part of the Inca Trail on the way on visiting the Llactapata ruins, untill we reach the small village of Wuayllabamba. Camp (3450m).
Day 2: Wuayllabamba - Pacaymayu: After a hearty breakfast we climb to Wuarmi Wuañuska (Dead Woman - 4200m) pass. We will trek by three separate and beautiful ecological zones during the day. The ascent to the first pass earns magnificent views. From this superb vantage point we descend to our camping place at the site known as Pacaymayu (3650m).

Day 4: Wiñayhuayna - Machu Picchu: Early morning hike to the Intipungo (the Sun Gate) from where we get an impressive view over the fabulous Machu Picchu.
