| Our Climbing Programs in Chile: Mount Cerro Plomo trekking & climbing (5 days / 4 nights) Trek and climb your first 5000 meters peak in South America. Mount Cerro Plomo is a very good option to start a South American Chile climbing trip. It is located near Santiago de Chile and offers a combination of beautiful landscapes with a soft climbing adventure! Ojos del Salado Volcano climbing. (16days / 15 nights) Ojos del Salado is considered one of the highest active volcanoes in the world (6893 m) and is the highest mountain in Chile. Located in one of the driest areas on the planet, the Atacama Desert, its ascent requires a very good physical condition, a well planned acclimatization program, and good climbing equipment, useful for this mountain's cold and windy climate. Our Ojos del Salado climbing program: Day1: Arrival in Santiago. Transfer to the Hotel. Day2: Santiago - Copiapo. From Santiago flight (not included) to Copiapo where we spend the afternoon. Hotel. B. Day3: Copiapo - Valle Chico. 120 kms drive to Valle Chico (or Vallecito) at 3200m where we will do some acclimatiztion hikes. B, L, D. Day4: Vallecito - Laguna Santa Rosa. Drive from Vallecito to Laguna Santa Rosa. Camp at 3600m and trek. B, L, D. Day5: Day to climb pick "8 Patos" (4800m). Camp. Day6: From Santa Rosa Lagoon drive to the shores of Verde Lagoon. Hike on the surroudings. Enjoy the hotwater springs. Camp at 4350m. B, L, D. Day7: Resting day and acclimatization. B, L, D. Day8: From Verde Lagoon we climb to the summit of Mulas Muertas summit at 5897m. B, L, D. Day9: Transport to 5000m and then trek to Atacama refuge 5260m. B, L, D. Day10: Transport food and water up to the 5837m "Tejos" refuge and back to Atacama Refuge. B, L, D. Day11: Atacama Refuge - Tejos Refuge. B, L, D.. Day12: Climb to the summit of Ojos del Salado (6893 m/22609 ft). Descend to Atacama Refuge. B, L, D. Day13: Reserve day. Day14: Transport to Copiapo and to Bahia Inglesa. Hotel. B, L.
